The Next 150 Logo

The West Chester Public Library has served the people of West Chester continuously for 150 years! Through a five-year campaign, THE NEXT 150: Stewarding our Future, we are striving to raise $1.5 million to ensure that we can endure, grow, and innovate through the next 150 years.

We have variety of passes to local and regional attractions, all free to borrow! Many are "print-and-go" so you can decide last-minute to visit  with no need to stop at the library.

Our 13th Annual Holiday Home Tour is Saturday, December 7

Returning for the 13th year, the perennially popular Holiday Home Tour will take place on Saturday, December 7, from 10 am to 3 pm and will showcase eight homes decked out for the holidays, three in Borough’s Northeast quadrant and five in the Southwest. Built from the 1880s through the 1920s, the homes interiors are as different as their owners. Some have been completely renovated to create thoroughly contemporary living spaces, while others lovingly preserve nearly every historical detail. All are personalized by the owners’ art, collectibles, and heirlooms.

Ticket-holders will also receive complimentary entry to the Chester County History Center and can enjoy lots of special activities planned especially for them at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center. Refreshments will be served in the library throughout the event. Advance tickets for the Holiday Home Tour are $40 each and may be purchased at wcpubliclibrary.org or at the library main desk. Tickets purchased on the day of the Tour will be $50.
