In almost every available space that you look at in the library, there is a work of art hanging on the wall. These paintings and photographs come in every shape size and color! The most common theme is the library itself. Above and below are a couple examples of paintings that can be seen at WCPL.
“Chief Halftown” is the newest addition to the artwork in the library and can be found next to the circulation desk on the children’s floor! Chief Halftown was a famous TV show host known for this opening line “Ees-da-sa-sussaway”.
A beautiful painting of three of man’s best friends.
Art can not only be found in paintings and photographs on the walls, it can also be found in the windows! WCPL has some beautiful examples of stained glass windows.
So the next time you are in the library keep an eye out for our beautiful artwork!
